The goal of Safe at Home WV is to safely reduce reliance on in-state and out-of-state congregate care for youth ages 12-17. The primary goals of Wraparound intervention are to support family strengths, promote community involvement and ownership, and provide the needed resources to families to improve family well-being and reduce the risk of child abuse and neglect. The Wraparound Facilitator will coordinate, create, and individualize services and supports to fit the unique needs of the child and family while building upon their strengths.

The Foster Care Supervisor is responsible for actions, decisions, and performances within the regional program. The Foster Care Supervisor is responsible for the care and protection of all the children residing in StepStone Family and Youth Services homes in his or her region. He or she is responsible for hiring, training and supervising staff. He or she is responsible for the efficient management of the financial and physical resources of the regional offices. The Regional Director is responsible for the quality assurance within the region. He or she works with treatment staff to monitor the program’s effectiveness with children and families with a variety of social, psychological, and medical needs. The Foster Care Supervisor maintains a 24-hour on-call support system for the foster children, foster parents, and biological families. The Foster Care Supervisor communicates frequently with the public agency to assure that optimum services are provided to the child and his or her family in accordance with the public agency’s case plan and expectations. He or she participates in meetings with public agency representatives, biological parents, foster parents, foster children, and other interested parties and agencies to access ongoing needs and expected outcomes of children in out-of-home placements. The Foster Care Supervisor provides feedback on service delivery, quality, and needs to the Program Manager and Executive Director. The Foster Care Supervisor provides the Program Manager and Executive Director a quarterly service review.
The Foster Care Supervisor works effectively with county and stare workers. Foster parents, bio-parents, and other behavioral and mental health professionals. He or she is the role model for positive, productive, cooperative relationships.

The Placement Stability Specialist works directly with the foster family, foster youth, and foster care team, in the office and home environment, to identify therapeutic barriers to prevent home placement disruptions of foster youth. Through specialized trainings which incorporate trauma informed care practices, this role utilizes guidance, modeling, training/educating to StepStone foster parents to prevent overall placement disruption.
