The Staff Accountant is responsible for performing a variety of accounting tasks to support accurate financial reporting and compliance. Key duties include reconciling accounts, conducting trend and completeness analyses, and preparing journal entries and reports to support monthly ledger close. This role manages billings and cost reports for the Department of Labor, researches general ledger inquiries, and responds to accounting-related issues. The Staff Accountant also reconciles corporate balance sheet accounts, performs analytical reviews, and assists with audit preparation by compiling corporate schedules for external auditors.
