PharMerica Corporation seeks a Database Administrator in Tampa, Florida to perform database installations, upgrades, migrations, including testing and evaluation of database patching strategies. Configure, install, and maintain clustered SQL server databases and Availability Groups; Setup database security roles, database access rights and controls and AD authentication; Ensure database integrity and consistency; Design and Implement database high-availability and disaster-recovery based on RPO/RTO goals; Support database operations and maintenance tasks and automate with powershell and t-sql scripting; Design logical and physical data models, data dictionaries and implement database table design, partitioning and index design strategies; Database performance monitoring and tuning with T-sql query optimization and index tuning; Analyze system logs and fix errors; Designing azure sql solutions and migrating on-premises data to azure; Implement azure active directory, IAM and RBAC; Capacity planning, archiving and purging operational data; Implement data encryption/scrubbing/masking for confidential data; Develop and tune SSIS packages, build and administer SSRS reports and Analysis Services cubes; Build ADF pipelines and logic apps; Configure azure data lake and integration runtime; Configure database monitoring and alerting services; Participate in change control process; Work with application teams on performance issues and provide root cause analysis and permanent fix for data related issues. This position pays $108,202.00 per year. The employer will pay or exceed the prevailing wage, as determined by the U.S. Department of Labor.
This position requires a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science or computer engineering or information systems or a related technical field, or its foreign equivalent; 5 years of experience in SQL server installations, clustering, high-availability, upgrades, migrations, database failover mechanisms, backup and DR strategies; 3 years of experience in each of the following - SQL server system internals and architecture, resource management, distributed computing, Powershell scripting, DB monitoring tools and any backup software; 4 years of experience working in production database environments, Performance and Index tuning, optimize sql code, execution plans, Developing TSQL stored procedures, functions, views, cursors, triggers, Data security, TDE, Develop and administering SSIS, SSRS and SSAS; and 2 years of experience in data modelling, MSMQ and VSTS. Must be a Microsoft Certified IT Professional: Database Administrator or Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist: SQL Server, Implementation and Maintenance.
