The Vice President, Human Resources (VP, HR), will serve as the strategic business partner to the business president and will design, develop and implement effective people strategies and tactics to support business capability and profitability.  In addition, the incumbent will also be a member of the HR leadership team that sets the strategic and operational plan for Human Resources for the company.  This role requires a proactive, hands-on approach to shaping the business, influences the direction of the HR organization and accountable for the organizational and people plan for the business.

The VP, HR is responsible for providing sound fiscal advice and oversee the day-to-day implementation of policies and procedures in the areas of talent development and succession, employee relations, workplace safety, compensation and benefits, performance management, training and development and legal compliance to employment laws.  The position will be required to travel at least 50% or more, as determined by business needs.

  • Lead the development and implementation of human capital programs and processes that will support operational requirements, lead and inspire a mission driven culture, and reinforce our reputation as an employer of choice.
  • Drive “LEGACY” core behaviors and standards throughout all levels of the organization. Is a servant leader.
  • Provide advice on strategic HR issues.
  • Regularly assess the market position of HR programs and practices against comparable healthcare markets to ultimately impact a strong favorable employer value proposition.
  • Identify strategic trends and best practices in human resources and adopt those which support the company's strategic objectives.
  • Partner with Centers of Excellences (CoE) in HR by maintaining a high-performing, outcome focused, and collaborative culture.
  • Foster an environment of inquisitiveness, transparency, open communication, trust, and teamwork.
  • Utilizes analytics to improve and refine HR processes continually. As a decision-maker, uses data to discover, predict, visualize, collaborate, model, and understand future trends.
  • Collaborate with and advise on matters of human capital, recognizing external market factors, trends, and opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities to increase the influx of quality candidates and the satisfaction and retention of employees, ensuring engagement and ongoing professional development with an emphasis on continuous improvement, learning, and accountability.
  • Adapt HR and workplace practices to fulfill the strategic goals of the company.
  • Optimize and drive adoption of technologies and systems. Utilize technology as a thought leader and innovator to drive processes and communications throughout the organization for increased efficiency and engagement.
  • Partner with business LT and corporate communications to deploy a multi-channel internal communication plan to facilitate effective, ongoing communication between dispersed employee population to drive understanding and engagement.
  • Drives high compliance. Ensure the Company follows and fully complies with all local, state, and federal laws, rules, and regulations regarding employment practices, health and safety, labor relations, and all other applicable rules and regulations.



  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Passion for the Mission of Healthcare: Prior experience in a pharmacy, healthcare, or healthcare-adjacent setting highly desirable.
  • Prior Experience: Has held a leadership role for an organization or business of a similar scale.
    • Eight plus years of leadership and management experience leading a team at the HRBP/HR Manager level.
    • Ten plus years of strategic human resources experience or related field.
  • Strategic Business Mindset: Excellent consulting skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders to get things done with a growing company.  Adds significant value beyond his/her functional area.  Utilizes the HR function to achieve business results.
  • Building Relationships: Strong personal credibility with the ability to build trusted relationships with senior business leaders and frontline staff alike.  Highly collaborative, with ability to work in partnership with all levels of the organization.
  • Self-Confidence: Superior communicator who can relate to and lead across all levels, functions, and locations.  Develops trusting relationships through successful execution and business outputs.  Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
