Overview

Responsible for providing direct care, assistance, and supervision to the residents. Responsible for assisting with the everyday tasks involved in the smooth operation of the assigned program(s), as directed by the Program Manager.  Responsible for providing direction and/or assistance to staff members in all programs. Will seek proper approval from program manager and/or administration as needed for anything beyond job duties.

Responsibilities

Resident Care:

  • Assist and supervise activities of daily living and personal care of the residents
  • Provide direc care of residents as needed.
  • Supervise and educate residents about medications
  • Procide orientation to the residents both in the program and in the community
  • Monitor resident's interactions with others
  • Maintain confidentiality of residents and staff

Programming:

 

  • Communicate with staff in the communication log and daily notes.
  • Represent Robin Hill Farm, Inc. in a professional manner at all times.
  • Participate, and assist as appropriate, in scheduled program.
  • Participate in required and suggested in-services and trainings.
  • Maintain a safe living and working environment.
  • Assist in keeping ongoing tasks in
  • Assist with initial and on-going training/sharing of pertinent information with co-workers.
  • Reports to supervisor any staff or resident
  • Follows the chain of command
  • Addresses questions of staff and residents and will find out the answer from appropriate people whenever needed.
  • May direct staff when to contact program manager and/or
  • Communicate to a supervisor any pertinent information (i.e. any health, safety, and issues that would have a direct effect on the program) without
  • Assesses and communicates the needs of the residents and the
  • May be responsible for scheduling and may need to assist with appropriate staffing coverage. M ay be responsible for administrative duties as assigned.
  • Reports to a supervisor any staffing needs and/or staffing
  • May be asked to provide input to supervisor concerning staff evaluations and other aspects of the
  • May specifically direct staff to tasks that fall within the scope of that staff member's job description
  • May be asked to cover the duties of program manager of assigned program, which could include vacation coverage and after-hours phone coverage that would be compensated based on hourly rate by the quarter hour per phone

 SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; assisting with performance evaluations as requested by the supervisor; gathering information to help resolve conflicts and complaints and resolving problems with the program manager's direction.
  • Assisting with rewarding and disciplining employees with direct oversight by program manager.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid New Hampshire driver's license with a safe driving record.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Basic computer and documentation skills.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and exercise sound judgment.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Willingness to obtain and maintain Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS) certification through Robin Hill Farm.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Must have the ability to safely drive and meet the visual requirements necessary for driving.

Work Environment

  • Work is performed in residential and community settings and may include exposure to varying weather conditions, humidity, moving equipment, and other typical environmental conditions.
  • Ability to work safely in a moderate-noise environment while supporting individuals with brain injuries

Robin Hill Farm, an affiliate of Rehab Without Walls, provides community-based cognitive rehabilitation for adults with brain injuries. Based upon the belief that no two brain injuries are alike, Robin Hill Farm has developed a continuum of care through six residential programs, so that each patient receives the best care based on their individual needs. Our programs offer residential treatment and can be considered a long-term alternative to institutional living, or a short-term step towards return to home.
