Overview

The Pharmacy Support Clerk will be responsible for assisting pharmacy leadership in maintaining pharmacy records and compliance with Drug Enforcement Agency, Board of Pharmacy, and other regulatory agencies and requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Works with pharmacy staff to maintain accurate and up-to-date prescription records
  • Maintains controlled substances logs within pharmacy computer systems
  • Responsible for retrieval of all narcotic kit and emergency supply prescriptions
  • Prepares and verifies accuracy of audit reports and prescription manifests logs
  • Maintains physician database and monitors and updates all physician profiles
  • Performs other tasks as assigned
  • Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, its policies and procedures, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards

Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Previous experience in pharmacy setting desired
  • Basic understanding of drugs, medication terminology, and metric system; ability to operate a computer
  • License and certifications as required by state regulations and business needs
