Rehab Without Walls® is seeking a highly qualified Driver Rehabilitation Specialist to join our Home & Community–based Neurorehabilitation Program in San Francisco, CA. This PRN opportunity is ideal for an experienced clinician who is passionate about helping individuals safely and confidently return to driving as a critical step toward independence and community reintegration.
This role is certification-driven and expertise-focused, requiring both Driver Rehabilitation Specialist credentials and Occupational Therapy licensure.
Who We’re Looking For:
- A Certified Driver Rehabilitation Specialist (CDRS or DRP) with demonstrated experience in:
- Comprehensive clinical driving evaluations
- Behind-the-wheel assessments
- Adaptive driving training and recommendations
- Occupational Therapist licensure required, providing the clinical foundation necessary for functional assessment, cognitive-perceptual evaluation, and adaptive strategy development.
- A clinician who values professional autonomy, flexibility, and collaboration within an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team.
- Experience working with neurologic, orthopedic, or medically complex populations preferred.
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct thorough clinical and on-road driving evaluations.
- Develop individualized driving rehabilitation plans tailored to each client’s functional abilities and goals.
- Provide adaptive driving training to support safe return to driving.
- Collaborate with referring clinicians (OT, PT, SLP, neuropsychology) to support broader recovery and community reintegration goals.
