StepStone Family & Youth Services
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Treatment Director (LCSW) who places trauma informed care at the center of their practice and is committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of youth in foster care. This role is ideal for a clinician who understands the profound impact of trauma, loss, and disrupted attachment, and who is dedicated to creating environments that promote safety, trust, healing, and resilience.
The Treatment Director will provide compassionate clinical leadership, therapeutic oversight, and direct support to children and families navigating complex emotional and behavioral needs. The ideal candidate approaches care through a trauma responsive, strengths-based lens, prioritizing relationship building, emotional regulation, and culturally responsive practices that honor each child’s experiences and voice.
In this role, you will help guide a team in implementing trauma informed practices that foster stability, empowerment, and long-term wellbeing for youth and caregivers. We are looking for someone who values collaboration, understands the importance of psychological safety, and is committed to helping children and families heal, grow, and thrive.
What We Offer
The Treatment Director must hold an active LCSW license and be immediately eligible to provide CSW supervision. Candidates must have demonstrated experience in clinical leadership and supervision within foster care, behavioral health, or child welfare settings. This role requires the ability to step into supervisory responsibilities upon hire, including oversight of clinical staff, guidance on treatment planning, and compliance with regulatory and licensing requirements. Treatment Director will be responsible for carrying a outpatient workload of 10+ hours per week and launching outpatient clinics within other operations.
