Who we are looking for:

• An experienced COTA, enthusiastic about providing functional rehabilitation wherever life happens, whether at home, school, work, or in the community
• You are ready to treat your client beyond a staged environment into real life experiences like cooking in their kitchen, navigating grocery stores, restaurants, outdoor activities, and the workplace
• You thrive in an autonomous setting, and value being a part of a collaborative team of dynamic therapists

• Assist patients in exercise, ADLs, functional activities, and the application/use of assistive devices in accordance with the treatment plan established by the Occupational Therapist
• Assist Occupational Therapist in the collection of outcome measures and completion of complex treatment procedures
• Educate patients, families, and other health workers on selected procedures and functional activities as directed by the Occupational Therapist
• Participate in ongoing program evaluation and development
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation of all care provided
• Maintain working knowledge of and adherence to the AOTA Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics
• Perform other duties as assigned

 

• Degree from a certified occupational therapy assistant training program
• Current Occupational Therapist Assistant certification and license to practice in state of application
• Minimum of 1 year experience preferred, related to treatment of complex neurological injuries
• Knowledge of complex neurologic injury and orthopedic rehabilitation techniques
• Current CPR certification
