Responsibilities

  • Assist patients in exercise, ambulation, functional activities, and the application/use of assistive devices in accordance with the treatment plan established by the Physical Therapist
  • Assist Physical Therapist in the execution of patient evaluations and complex treatment procedures
  • Educate patients, families, and other health workers on selected procedures and functional activities as directed by Physical Therapist
  • Participate in ongoing program evaluation and development
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation of all care provided
  • Maintain working knowledge of and adherence to the Physical Therapy Practice Ace and Code of Ethics
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Associates degree from an accredited college or university required
  • Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Texas required
  • Must pass all pre-employment and employment verifications
