We are seeking a dynamic Manager of Clinical Operations to manage and administer day to day activities of PharMerica’s clinical operations in accordance with established policies to provide high quality health care services.

Qualifications:

  • Direct experience as a Consultant Pharmacist or Long-Term Care practicing pharmacist.
  • Managed teams and individuals in a Long-Term Care setting
  • This role requires 50% travel, giving you the chance to engage directly with our clients
  • Territory:States AL, AR, FL, GA, KY, LA, MS, SC, TN
  • Reside within any of the States listed above. This position is based out of their home office when not traveling

Responsibilities

  • Leads and manages direct reports consisting of consultant pharmacists for designated states within the district/territory
  • Ensures economical and efficient performance under guidance of PharMerica’s goals, objectives and clinical operating budget
  • Provides timely report of financial and productivity information with accuracy for territory
  • Maintains good understanding of regulatory components specific to duties of direct reports
  • Performs routine, standardized/objective reviews of performance of direct reports
  • Ensures timely and accurate billing submission for consulting services
  • Responds timely to customer requests and attempt resolution to issues as a high priority
  • Communicates effectively with customers, direct reports, management and other disciplines to enhance customer relationships
  • Participates in quarterly business reviews and other customer-centered meetings
  • Provides support to other departments as needed to address customer needs, requests and to enhance relationships
  • Maintains open communication with direct supervisor
  • Organizes/conducts routine conference calls/webinars with direct reports to disseminate information
  • Responds timely and effectively to email and phone calls
  • Maintains active pharmacist licensure, knowledge base of current industry standards and regulations
  • Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, its policies and procedures, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards
  • Performs other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree - BS in Pharmacy or PharmD
  • At least five years of direct experience as a consultant pharmacist or long-term care practicing pharmacist; Management experience
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry’s trends, directions, major issues, regulatory considerations, and trendsetters
  • Communication and leadership skills are imperative
  • Experience with Windows based software applications including MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access
  • Active license to practice pharmacy in at least one state in the territory
  • Demonstrates the following behavior competencies: accountability, adaptability, analytical/problem-solving skills, communicative, flexibility, initiative/self-motivated, leadership, personal integrity
