· Handles monetary transactions including cash, checks, gift certificates, travelers’ checks, processing coupons, issuing rain checks and handling refunds. |
· Engages in suggestive selling and other sales techniques. |
· Assists with merchandise rotation, store layout, stocking, and proper pricing. Responsible for staying current on product location. |
· Responsible for maintaining checkout area, including keeping it clean, neat, properly stocked, and safe. |
· Responsible for answering the telephone, taking donation information from customers for pick-up, accepting donations from clients, and providing them with tax information form. |
· Exhibits critical thinking abilities and applies them for continuous improvement of services and HH. Demonstrates ability to think creatively, identify and make recommendations to the Attic Manager. |
· High School diploma or equivalent |
· Previous experience in retail environment as a cashier, preferably in apparel, thrift/consignment
