We are looking for an Enteral Technician to join our Pharmacy team as we grow to be one of the top home infusion providers in the country. As a core member of the Pharmacy team, you will be expected to perform technical and clerical tasks associated with the preparation, labeling and dispensing of enteral formula and supplies.  The Enteral Technician will report to the Pharmacy Manager and work in our Oklahoma City branch.

Responsibilities

As an Enteral Technician, you will...

  • Coordinate and schedule the dispensing of enteral product and supplies and assist the Dietitian in the management of enteral nutrition patients.
  • Prepare labels and prescription dispensing worksheets and complete and maintain product lot numbers and expiration dates.
  • Generate delivery/pick slips under the supervision of the Dietitian. Pick and pull supplies and home medical equipment.
  • Obtain supply inventories and compliance information from patients/clients and communicate information obtained from patients/clients to the Dietitian as required.
  • Participate in branch management, department and intra-departmental meetings and quality improvement activities as requested.
  • Adhere to all Accreditation, OSHA, FDA, state, local and federal regulations and standards relevant to infusion pharmacy and home medical equipment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required; some college or technical training (Pharmacy or Dietetic Technician) preferred
  • 1-3 years of related experience in a home care or hospital setting
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Effective mathematical and communication skills required
  • At least 1 year of experience in enteral nutrition service in a hospital or home infusion setting
  • General knowledge of enteral feeding terminology, enteral nutrition products and supplies
  • Ability to work independently, accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
