Overview

The Pharmacy Customer Service Associate reports to the Pharmacy Director and will be onsite at a client facility. The PSCA will assist the PD in maintaining strong relationships between our clients and our pharmacies. This position is critical in delivering exceptional service to senior living communities, skilled nursing facilities, public health organizations and other clients that we service.

 

Flexible Schedule:

Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm with 1 weekend rotation a month

  • Remote role but must be located in close proximity to Buffalo NY as (will be based out of WH) occasional travel to sites required within the Buffalo area
  • Previous Pharmacy Technician Experience Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Acts as a liaison between the pharmacy and the client facility
  • Participates in the new client onboarding processes:
    • Pharmacy equipment setup (medication carts, automated dispensing equipment, etc.)
    • Initial medication cycle order check-in
  • Assists with non-clinical facility staff training
  • Checks in with facility staff to gauge customer satisfaction
  • Spots check pharmacy equipment
  • Medication Cart Set Up
  • Attends facility specific events (open houses, etc.)
  • Provides ongoing communications to Pharmacy Director so they can follow up as needed with internal departmental team members on responding to facility feedback (nurse consultants, account managers, pharmacy consultants, etc.)

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of Customer service.
  • 2+ years of healthcare experience (pharmacy or long-term care facility preferred)
  • Effective communication, both written and verbal
  • Familiarity with State & Federal long-term care and pharmacy regulations preferred
  • Knowledge of pharmacy billing processes preferred
  • Knowledge of insurance payor prior authorization processes preferred
  • Knowledge of pharmacy dispensing software systems preferred
  • Knowledge of Electronic Health Record software applications preferred
