Overview

Using a balance of account management and direct telephone outreach, the primary responsibility of the Inside Sales role will be to develop and manage Blake Pharmacy expansion opportunities providing education and care coordination to prescribers and pharmaceutical partners with all Blake Pharmacy products and services.  This position acts as a single point of contact by assisting the prescriber in evaluating referrals and performing care coordination to ensure service level requirements are met. The targeted customers are physicians, NPs, PAs, nursing staff, office managers and supporting pharmaceutical partners, including sales and reimbursement teams.

Responsibilities

    • Seeks out opportunities for prescriber experience, process improvement and collaborates with pharmacy operations to achieve prescriber experience improvement and sales goals
    • Achieves designated call expectations for assigned prescribers with a focus on top targets, key influencers, and pipeline leads
    • Must have strong relationships in pharmaceutical community. Must be able to build and maintain relationships with prescribers and pharmaceutical partners.
    • Responsible for identifying, ranking, prospecting and developing key specialty-lite prescriber relationships within targeted territory
    • Assists with sales escalations and communicates routinely with business development and operations teams about details impacting prescriber or patient experience
    • Supports education and delivery of key messages and product presentations within initiatives designed to ensure territory meets performance requirements
    • Responsible for forwarding calls pertaining to clinical information and questions(i.e. dosing directions adverse events, counseling) to pharmacists
    • Documents and meticulously makes notations in patient’s profile or database regarding updates and aspect of a customer’s/prescriber’s care or needs
    • Uses discretion and independent judgment in handling customer complaints received, while documenting and forwarding to appropriate administrative staff
    • Obtains and manages prescriber communication preferences
    • Nurtures and manages prescriber relationship to improve loyalty and retention
    • Assists operations team and prescriber offices with prior authorizations by following up on outstanding issues and assisting with coordination and communication
    • Ensure prescription renewal requests are communicated in a timely manner to ensure continuity of care, when applicable
    • Works collaboratively to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals

Qualifications

  • High School diploma
  • 2 years retail or specialty pharmacy techncian experience preferred – must be familiar with general pharmacy terminology, billing quantity, SIG codes, roman numerals, brand/generic names of medications, prior authorizations and PBM drug benefits
  • 2 years inside or outside sales experience for pharmacy or other health services-related industry preferred
  • Exceptional probing and consultative communication skills
  • Self-motivated and results driven
  • Highly effective in working objectively with a diverse group of people and must demonstrate communication, organizational, administrative and office skills
  • Proficient in data entry, verbal skills, computer skills, and ability to learn new software
  • Must be a team player willing to accept and promote organizational goals and function with minimal supervision
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, employees or senior management
  • Maintain HIPAA patient confidentiality

 

License/Certification:

  • None
  • Familiar with general pharmacy terminology, billing quantity, SIG codes, roman numerals, brand/generic names of medications, prior authorization and PBM drug benefits
  • Ability to apply concepts such as percentages, ratios and proportions in practical solutions
