This Accounting Manager position is responsible for accounting activities related to Payroll/Accounts Payable financial reporting, account analysis and documentation for all BrightSpring Health Services operations


  • Assists with monthly, quarterly, and annual audit requirements
  • Supervises accounting staff
  • Reviews and approves reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements to ensure that they are prepared properly and follow-up on any unusual items
  • Plans and directs ledger accounts, financial statement preparation and control systems to include the interface of all payroll transactions into the Oracle ERP system
  • Oversees maintenance of systems and controls that verify the integrity of systems, processes, and data
  • Evaluates and makes appropriate improvements to internal accounting processes, ensuring that practices are in line with the overall goals of the organization
  • Maintains relationships with internal and external auditors
  • Reports to management on variances from the established budget and the reasons for those variances
  • Ensures that all general ledger accounts are reconciled to subsidiary records on a monthly basis
  • Communicates key information to top executive management
  • Leads and directs work of others
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Performs other tasks as assigned


Education/Learning Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required

Work Experience:

  •  5-8 years in Accounting, including 2-3 years in a supervisory role required 


  • Knowledge of general accounting and US GAAP required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills required
  • Excellent computer skills including Excel, Word, Access, and related accounting software required
  • Outstanding financial reporting and analytical skills required
  • Knowledge of internal and external audit requirements required
  • Ability to utilize new tools and technologies in a rapidly changing environment required
  • Knowledge of Oracle; ADP Enterprise preferred


  • CPA preferred

Additional duties:

  • Responsible for tracking, analyzing, and reporting project financial status.  This position ensures that procedures and policies are in place to facilitate effective and efficient financial reporting and ensure compliance with local, state and corporate policies
  • Directs fiscal operations relating to financial planning, funds management, accounting, reporting and disbarment
  • Prepares financial performance reviews, and maintaining project financial data
  • Prepare and maintain project budgets, forecasts and cash flows
  • Administer supplier contract terms, verify compliance and review payments
  • Work closely with company management, project management and clients to provide financial insight and reporting on the performance of assigned projects
  • Ensure that the project fulfills all financial obligations in a timely and economic manner in accordance with established policies and goals
  • Ability to coordinate accounting activities which includes establishment of accounts and procedures, reporting and record keeping
  • Understand revenue recognition, project invoicing, journal entry preparation and general accounting rules
